ENA responds to Energy Systems Catapult report

A new report by Energy Systems Catapult has found Net Zero before 2050 is possible with support for innovation and scale-up across three essential areas – Low Carbon Technology, Land Use and Lifestyle.

Responding to the report, David Smith, Chief Executive of Energy Networks Association said:

“Energy network companies are investing in innovation to help deliver Net Zero by 2050. Our Open Networks project is unlocking greater flexibility and supporting low carbon technologies coming onto the network, while our Gas Goes Green project is examining the best ways of bringing hydrogen into the gas network. We now need the government to make the big and bold policy decisions which support this approach in the long term, backed up by a regulatory framework that encourages innovation and investment.”
